Since I haven’t blogged about my weekend…

As you may know, I went to Wyeriver (which is past Lorne) with my family on Saturday. It was a 2 hour drive and when we got there, there was no reception. I WAS SO ANGRY. And then my phone kept restarting. It restarted literally every 5 minutes. It drove me mad… BUT ANYWAYS, ENOUGH WITH MY FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS. We reunited with my sister, her husband and her daughter. I haven’t been to Wyeriver for about 5 years, and it was really nice to be there again :)

We stayed in her father-in-law’s holiday house, who was also there. My brother-in-law’s 6 & 9 year old nephews were there too. We first went to the beach, which was a 1 minute drive from the holiday house. It was quite a gloomy day, and it was spitting a bit, but it was nice. I ran around helping the kids find some sea stars and crabs. It’s always fun with kids around LOL. When we went back to the house, we had a BBQ for dinner and I played with their iPad for the rest of the night. I taught the kids how to play Temple Run and then my phone kept restarting on them and they were like “if it restarts again, you have to pay us $50,000!” LOL.

I didn’t get a good sleep that night. I wasn’t used to the bed and I probably didn’t even fall asleep. My mind wouldn’t even shut up!!!

But anyways, the next morning, I had breakfast and got into my bathers because we were going to the beach!!! It was a nice sunny day, and I heard it was raining in Melbourne on Sunday. HA! But I was screaming every time I got deeper into the water because it was COLD! My feet were freezing after a few minutes of just standing in the water. But I sucked it up and got in, and the water became nice. I went boogie boarding for a bit, but only caught like 2 or 3 waves. The kids were using the boogie boards mostly. Then my dad and I dragged my mum into the water and she was screaming and the waves were soaking her and she was full on “I WANT TO GET OUT” but my dad and I didn’t let her. She didn’t want to get her bathers wet. Are you serious? AHHAHA.

I eventually got out and played with my niece in the sand. Then I made sand castles with the kids for a while. I helped them decorate them and dig stuff. All of a sudden, my dads like “LET’S GET BACK IN THE WATER!!!” so I joined my dad and got back in. My dad absolutely loves the beach and the sea. It’s where he grew up, and he was in the navy and stuff. Couldn’t get him out of the water LOL.

After 4 hours at the beach, we walked back home. We went up the hard way, because it was quicker and my mum was complaining and getting tired. I was tired too. I was in the water for so long, it made me tired. We eventually got home to see my sister’s mother-in-law and the kids’ mum. We had steak for dinner and I continued to play on the iPad. Then my mum and grandma were yelling at me to pack up and I said “I’LL PACK UP TOMORROW!!!” and they were like “WE’RE GOING HOME NOW.”

Oh. Lost track of time. We left the house at 4pm and got home at 6pm. Pretty tired and stuff. Was good fun though. I love warm weather, the beach and the sun :)
